From black veils and jet jewelry to intricate hair art and flowery obituaries, Victorians established mourning rituals and death-related customs to properly endure life’s inevitable conclusion, and also to bring peace to living, grieving loved ones. Katherine Eppich will discuss Victorian mourning traditions.
