GOODBYE WICHITA!

We’ve closed the doors to WichitaEvents.com.
We’ll tell you why…

Over the last year…
We listed THOUSANDS of events for FREE.
We received over 175,000 monthly pageviews.
Our mailing list grew to over 40K subscribers.
Our Facebook Group grew to 23K+ members.
We helped SELL OUT shows in Wichita!!!

Yet with everything listed above… we couldn’t find a SINGLE sponsor.
After HUNDREDS of calls and follow ups…
NO home service companies responded to us.
NO real-estate offices responded to us.
NO auto dealerships responded to us.
NO law firms responded to us.
NO businesses had even $100 for us.

We couldn’t even get as little as $50 from…
Intrust Bank Arena
The Cotillion
WAVE
Heartland Credit Union Arena
Century II
The City of Wichita
or, any other venue in town.
(NO KIDDING!!! The same people that charge EVERYONE up to $30 in EXTRA ticket fees PER TICKET at EVERY EVENT… told us they didn’t have a single $50 bill for us!)

But what hurts the MOST… is knowing that there are DOZENS of people at VisitWichita.com getting paid for doing their jobs with bare minimum effort as Wichita’s “sole event promoter” with an annual budget of over $2,000,000.00 from the city of Wichita alone. It is unforgiveable for them to accomplish SO LITTLE for the people of Wichita, with SO MUCH at their disposal. VisitWichita.com is a PROBLEM for the City of Wichita, truly.  

In the end… it KILLS us to think that the endless hard work we put in as a two-man-father-and-son team over the last year here at WichitaEvents.com, isn’t worth a single $50 bill… from ANYONE. 

So….
We’re saying goodbye to Wichita.
