Today, clothing reflects an individual’s tastes and style. In the Victorian era, clothing rigidly reflected status, role in society, as well as economy. Anthony Horsch, Old Cowtown Museum’s Director of Education and Interpretation, will explore the Victorian social function of women’s clothing beyond covering the skin.
