Fronted by lead singer/songwriter Rick Dejesus\, and joined by drummer Trevor Safford and bassist Andrew Cushing\, they signed to Virgin Records and broke into the mainstream with their anthemic song Invincible from their self-titled debut album. Invincible was a top 5 single at Active Rock Radio and paved the way for them with numerous television spots\, including the CSI Miami finale\, it served as the them song for the weekly WWE Superstar show\, was featured in the THQ video game RAW vs Smackdown\, and also used on Fox Sports Network as the college football theme song. Additionally\, it was featured on ESPN Monday night football\, and on Fox (MLB playoffs)\, and the track went on to become Certified Gold. \nThe band’s follow up sophomore effort\, Home School Valedictorian\, arrived in Summer 2011\, spawning four Top 5 Active Rock Radio singles (Sick\, The Collapse\, Criticize\, and Alive\, two of which went to #1 (Alive and Criticize). The band performed Alive on ABC’s The Bachelor Pad on national television. This album cycle marked the band going on to do the Carnival Of Madness tour in 2011 with the likes of Theory Of A Deadman\, Alter Bridge and Black Stone Cherry\, as well as being on the mainstage on Uproar Fest 2012 with their peers in Shinedown\, Godsmack\, Papa Roach and Staind. The record marks the band’s highest selling album to date\, having sold over 250\,000 copies\, over 1.5 Million iTunes singles\, and has gathered over 150 million streams across DSPS. \nAdelitas Way third album Stuck release in Summer 2014\, and had a Top 5 single with Dog on a Leash. The track We Came was later used as ESPN Monday Night Football theme song. After the Stuck album cycle\, the band’s next record Getaway showed the band leaving Virgin Records and becoming fully independent. The band released the hit single Bad Reputation and the track went to #6 at the Active Rock Radio charts. Adelitas Way then embarked on their biggest headlining tour to date in support of the release; selling out over half the venues on a 40+ date trek across the United States. DESCRIPTION:EVENT DETAILS\n	 \n\n	Spineshank “Nu Metal Sucks Tour” with Hed PE\, Primer 55\, & Oceans On Other Planets at WAVE\n			Wednesday Jun 3\, 2026\n	  @\n6:00 pm \nSpineshankFormed in 1996 in Los Angeles\, Spineshank exploded onto the late 90’s Metal scene with their 1998 Roadrunner debut Strictly Diesel\, and quickly built a rabid underground following\, hitting the road alongside current and future luminaries like Sepultura\, System of A Down\, Fear Factory\, Biohazrd\, and Static-X. \nKnown for their fusion of industrial metal\, alternative metal\, and nu-metal elements\, Spineshank gained prominence in the late 1990s and early 2000s as part of the emerging wave of heavy music influenced by electronic textures and aggressive rhythms. Known for their emotionally charged compositions and intense live performances\, Spineshank left a lasting impact on the metal scene\, blending heavy riffs\, electronic undertones\, and introspective lyrics to craft a distinctive sound that has resonated with fans worldwide for over 30 years. \nTheir sophomore effort\, 2000’s The Height of Callousness (2000)\, Produced by Garth Richardson (Rage Against The Machine\, Mudvayne) marked a turning point into a more polished and aggressive sound\, leading to critical acclaim and wider exposure\, with tracks like “Synthetic” and “New Disease\,” quickly turning the band into a staple of the nu-metal era. Spineshank joined the ranks of Ozzfest 2001 and toured alongside a who’s who of modern Metal greats including Slipknot\, Linkin Park\, Type O Negative\, Mudvayne\, and more. \nIn 2003\, Spineshank released Self-Destructive Pattern\, which included the Grammy-nominated single “Smothered.” Despite their success\, internal tensions led to the departure of vocalist Jonny Santos in 2004\, who formed SILENT CIVILIAN\, and the band went on hiatus shortly after. Santos eventually returned\, and Spineshank reunited in 2008\, releasing their fourth and final album\, Anger Denial Acceptance\, in 2012. \nIn 2023 Santos and Decker announced the forming of a new project\, The Less Dead\, which led to further speculation about the future of Spineshank. \nNow in 2025\, Hell has indeed frozen over\, as Spineshank returns with a revamped lineup featuring original members Jonny Santos\, Rob Garcia\, and Tommy Decker\, along with new recruits Tommy Decker\, Jr. (Guitar) and Jason Hager (ex-Chimaira – Guitar) to celebrate the 25th anniversary of their landmark release The Height of Callousness. \n“We are beyond excited to be able to celebrate 25 years of The Height of Callousness. This is the record that defined us as a band and changed our lives. They made their major-label debut with *Introduction to Mayhem* in January 2000\, which remains a touchstone for their fanbase. Tragically\, original frontman J-Sin passed away on August 10\, 2018\, after a long battle with health issues tied to Hepatitis C. His voice and spirit are still deeply revered by the band and fans. When the reunited band announced their *Introduction to Mayhem* 25th-anniversary shows\, they framed those upcoming performances as a celebration of his legacy. In late 2024\, Bobby Burns revealed he had been battling liver issues. Despite the severity of the condition\, Burns has publicly expressed determination and resilience\, crediting his recovery progress with rallying support from friends\, family\, and fans. His health battle has become part of the band’s narrative of resurgence\, and his ability to press onward is seen as a testament to his grit. \nNow reunited as of 2025\, Primer 55—with Donny “The DRP” Polinske on vocals\, Burns on guitar\, Joshua Toomey on bass\, and Preston Nash on drums—is hitting the road this October to honor *Introduction to Mayhem*’s 25th anniversary.
